Step 2 – Choose: Recharge or New FASTag
For recharge: we process the top-up instantly to your FASTag wallet. For new FASTag: we fill the application, link it to your vehicle RC, and complete the KYC.
Step 3 – Pay & Process
Recharge amount is added to your FASTag wallet immediately. New FASTag issuance involves payment of the security deposit plus KYC — the tag is linked to your vehicle and can be used at tolls right away.
Step 4 – Get Confirmation
You receive a recharge confirmation (SMS to your registered mobile) or a new FASTag with your vehicle linked. Balance can be checked on the FASTag app or NHAI portal anytime.

Is FASTag mandatory for my vehicle?
Yes. FASTag is mandatory for all four-wheeler vehicles (cars, jeeps, vans, trucks, buses) on national highways in India. Vehicles without a valid FASTag are charged double the toll at FASTag-only lanes. Two-wheelers are currently exempt from FASTag.
What happens if my FASTag balance is low at a toll?
If your FASTag balance is insufficient, the toll will still be deducted (if some balance is available) or the transaction will be declined and you may be charged double the toll. Always ensure adequate balance before highway travel. Top up your FASTag at our centre before your trip.
Can I use FASTag on all toll plazas?
Yes. FASTag works at all NHAI toll plazas on national highways across India and at most state highway toll plazas. The tag reads the toll charge automatically and deducts from your FASTag wallet.
What is FASTag blacklisting and how to avoid it?
A FASTag is blacklisted when the wallet balance is consistently low or KYC is not completed. A blacklisted FASTag causes double toll charges. To avoid blacklisting, keep your wallet balance positive and complete KYC. We can help check your status and resolve blacklisting at our centre.
FASTag recharge: the full recharge amount goes directly to your FASTag wallet — our service charge is minimal and stated upfront. New FASTag issuance: security deposit plus our nominal service charge. New FASTag security deposit is refundable when you surrender the tag.
