Step 1: Share Your Business Details

What is Udyam Registration and who can apply?
Udyam Registration is a free government registration for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Any business — sole proprietorship, partnership, LLP, company, or cooperative society — can apply as long as the business falls within the MSME investment and turnover limits. Self-employed individuals and traders may also be eligible depending on the category.
Is Udyam Registration free? How long does it take?
Udyam Registration is completely free. There is no government fee. The registration is processed instantly on the udyamregistration.gov.in portal and the certificate is available for download immediately after successful registration. The certificate is valid for a lifetime and does not need to be renewed.
What documents are needed for Udyam Registration?
For individual/proprietorship businesses: Aadhaar card and the mobile number linked to Aadhaar are the main requirements. PAN and GSTIN are required for businesses with turnover above the threshold. Partnership firms and companies also need PAN, GSTIN, and authorised signatory details. No physical documents need to be submitted — the process is fully online.
Can I register multiple businesses under one Aadhaar?
Each Aadhaar number can have only one Udyam registration. If you own multiple businesses (different business names or proprietorships), only one can be registered under one Aadhaar. However, a single Udyam certificate can cover multiple plants or branches of the same business.
